Marlyn Massey – Managing Principal

Combining technical expertise with practical insight

Marlyn has been part of the insurance industry since 2009, bringing experience across loss adjusting, claims preparation and risk consulting. Marlyn is a Chartered Loss Adjuster and a Chartered Management Accountant. She began her career as a Loss Adjuster and later led a Claims Preparation & risk consulting team at one of Australia’s largest brokers. Prior to insurance, Marlyn was in the banking industry for nearly six years.

Having worked on both sides of the claim process, Marlyn understands the technical and commercial discussions that occur between insurers, loss adjusters and clients. This balanced perspective allows her to bridge the gap between policy interpretation and practical outcomes — ensuring claims are presented accurately, efficiently and with fairness at the forefront.

Marlyn has managed complex claims and conducted Business Interruption (BI) reviews for small to large businesses across a wide range of industries, including retail, healthcare, energy, construction, freight and mining.

Marlyn’s experience spans both claims quantification and proactive Business Interruption adequacy reviews, providing independent analysis to help clients and brokers understand exposure and assess coverage needs.

Drawing on her experience presenting at technical industry panels and delivering specialised training to insurers and brokers, Marlyn brings a depth of technical expertise and commercial acumen to every engagement.
